Appointmentscalendar

You can make an appointment by calling at reception in person or by telephoning  01274 957846 between 08:00 - 18:00 Monday to Friday.  Appointments with a doctor can be booked at any time up to three months in advance.

We now also have GP appointments available online. Please ask reception for your unique username and password to access online services via this website.

Every morning we run an Urgent Access Clinic.  This is a “sit and wait” clinic which is intended for urgent cases that need to be seen on that day and cannot wait until a routine appointment is available. The time that the clinic operates depends on levels of staffing, so it can change every day.

We ask that patients telephone in the morning to be allocated a slot in the Urgent Access clinic.

Please phone the Surgery on 01274 957846 from 8am to be allocated a slot in the Urgent Access Clinic.

Extended Access

Evening and weekend appointments are now available.

Patients can now see a local GP for routine appointments on weekday evenings and at weekends.

Pre-bookable and on-the-day appointments are available between 6.30pm and 9.30pm each weekday, with additional slots available on Saturdays from 9am and 4pm and Sundays 9am and 1pm.

The scheme starts in August when evening and weekend appointments will be available for any patient registered with a GP in North Kirklees.  The appointments will be available in Dewsbury Health Centre.

How to book an evening or weekend appointment

There are ‘pre-bookable’ and ‘on-the-day’ appointments which can be accessed through your own GP practice, or by calling the free NHS 111 phone line out of normal working hours.

Practice Nurses

In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many ailments and you may be seen more quickly. You can make an appointment by calling at reception in person, or by telephoning 01274 957846  between 08:00 - 18:00 Monday to Friday.  Appointments with a nurse can be booked up to four weeks in advance.

We have a number of early morning appointments available with the Practice Nurse.

Telephone Consultations

If you need to speak to a doctor for advice please ring between 10.45 and 11.00 am. To speak to a doctor or nurse please ring the reception desk on 01274 957846.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else. We have cancellations every day so it is worth ringing in the morning to see if any cancellations have been phoned through.

Online Appointments

We have now set up online appointment requests. You will need a password to do this available from our administration or reception teams.
